that same day i attended walter van beirendonck. i didn't really know the designer so i was excited to see what the deal was. the atmosphere before the show was heatin up, literally! if issey miyake was hot, this was inferno! i mean, don't the french know air conditioning? we were having a sauna in there. and seeing japanese buyers all suited up only made it worse.
the belgium designer showed a cool young collection of men basics with a twist: neon colors, funky patterns, loose cuts and great accessories. i loved the styling with the ropes, that was clever but the hats were looking a bit like an art project of a 10 year old in my opinion. check out the whole collection on style.com and tell me what u think!
