Hit or Miss?

i lost my touch with reality a bit and with what`s current or hip right now... it happens when you`re detached from social media for too long. so bare with me while i`m finding my way back to what`s trending. help by making a comment whether u think this trend is a hit at the moment or have i totally missed the hype...

plaid hits the streets every fall (what a shocker, right?) but i have been seeing a new trend in ways of wearing it on the streets. it`s just an old plaid flannel shirt tied around the waist. it looks super easy and cool. can you remember the days when tying shirts around your waist was considered (and was looking) very dorky. i can! now the trick is to wear it with shorts (skirt can work too) and a cool t. add a leather jacket, big sunnies and a cup of starbucks delight and you`re looking like a rockstar.
...actually i got to thinking and this trend is not oh so new. i`ve seen it countless times styled in dsquared collections. i guess the trend just needed some time to translate to the streets or should i say it was a matter of the right person wearing it and the right street style photographer capturing it...
