i think the simplest things are the best option in most life scenarios. especially when it comes to dressing up. old pair of jeans, washed out t-shirt, high heels and boyfriend`s blazer can work out great if styled right. also a plaid shirt, oversized sweater or biker boots. when i doubt or in a hurry i always run to my favourite pair of jeans, black knitted sweater and my (i call them awesome) boots. oh and also... thumbs up for the grunge inspired looks... love the 90s!!
